How is it my sense will automatically track my ride accurately, yet if you start a workout and use gps it misses a lot of distance?

@SunsetRunner how does the map look like in your Fitbit app? Just to make sure, GPS is enabled (in the exercise app on Sense)?

Similar problem here. I've been doing the same 5k run several times a week for 2 years.

Up until 2 weeks ago I used a Garmin & never had a problem but in the 6 runs since I switched to a Sense only 2 have been properly tracked, todays was the worst, nothing tracked on the map for the first 4k.

The total distance is about right but I'm not sure if that's via GPS or a guesstimate based on stride length.

So far I'm less than impressed with Sense's GPS performance.

@Ronnie1234 you won't be able to change it manually. My first experience using GPS was it took a while to connect to satellites. I'm assuming because of location change. The subsequent connects were quick. I would test it again and see if it's ok.

Great thank you 😊 I’ll see what happens on next run

guess it’s trial & error with new products
