GPS tracking incorrect in app-Sense

I have experienced problems with the GPS tracking on my Sense when doing laps. Once I cross my own path the tracking in the app records it as 0 meters and I loose the info about speed. For example yesterday I was skating on a lake. I used the outdoor sports alternative. I skated one lap around the lake so I finished in the same location as where I started. When I stopped the workout on my watch it showed that I had skated 11 km and gave me info about average and highest speed. When I opened my workout in the app the route on the map is correct but it says that the distance is 0,08 km and there's no statistics for speed. Can I do anything to fix it?

 

Update. I restarted the app in my phone and restarted my Sense. Now the previously correct route on the map is gone. This is so frustrating!
