Google Assistant has been working brilliantly.
All of a sudden up pops this message - Routines aren't currently supported on this device.
Using the phone for the same command still works fine.
Any ideas?

Further investigation reveals that Fitbit have recently modified how Google Assistant works from the watch.
If you setup routines* in Google Assistant, they will work with Hey Google but no longer from the watch.
This is a shame as Google Assistant was working brilliantly, until something was modified.
Please reinstate full access to the Google Assistant and not this partial access.
*A routine is a series of commands for an item, such as "turn on sitting room lights" which issues multiple commands such as:

YES this is really frustrating me. I actually bought this particular version because routines were supported. I used to use it every night after I got in bed to turn off the lights. The way my room is set up, yelling "hey google" to my phone only works half the time. I really miss routines, please bring it back fitibit!

9/14/2021: As of today, Google routines are still not supported. Not sure why Fitbit removed the ability to use the Google routines, but to advertise the ability to use Google Assistant but not support the Routines is ridiculous. They were initially supported when Google Assistant was added to the firmware and then removed 2 updates ago for no reason. I wish they would put this back in the firmware because like so many others, I use routines through Google.

Yes, this has been a huge disappointment. Some routines didn't work correctly on the Fitbit before they disabled it, but that was fine. I would love to be able to use some routines again. 80%+ of my assistant commands are routines.
