Hi!
One of the main reasons that I purchased a fitness tracker was to receive HR alerts. I have an anxiety disorder and wanted my watch to buzz me when my heart rate rose while I was inactive, a feature which the sense advertises. My sense does not do this, instead it records my anxiety spikes as "zone minutes," regardless of whether or not I'm moving at all.
I set my upper threshold manually to 100 (my normal RHR is about 48-52), and it never, ever, ever alerts me. Most of my anxiety spikes happen while sitting on my couch, completely sedentary. It was my understanding that a HR spike while inactive for 10 minutes or more would cause an alert. It does not. It records "exercise."
I searched the forum before posting and read another thread with advice to begin recording a workout when the attack comes on, but this advice is not helpful for me. My intent is to use this as a tool to increase my body awareness because currently I am usually unable to tell when an attack is coming on, or often even that I am in the midst of one until my nervous system is completely overwhelmed. I wanted this device to help me take preventative measures, and so far it has proved useless for this purpose, though again, the feature is specifically advertised.
For clarity, I do not care whether my anxiety is recorded or how. My only concern is receiving the alerts.
I've played with all the settings. I even had a cheaper fitness tracker which performed this function admirably, but it failed in other ways and l had to replace it. I'd hate to have to replace this one for only this reason. I'm so frustrated with it. Very disappointing for this basic function not to work on such a spendy device when it's almost entirely why I bought it in the first place. 😞

Hi, @SunsetRunner welcome to the community, may I suggest you review your app settings on your phone. At the "Today" screen> swipe up to the HR tile and touch it>touch the settings gear wheel in the top right corner>High & low HR>swipe up and ensure the HR notification slider is in the ON position (to the right) return to the "today" screen and sync.
You will have noted that you only get notifications if your HR is outside the high or low threshold while you appear to have been inactive for 10 minutes.
I hope this is helpful.
Cheers

Hello,
Thank you for your response, but I have already done these things and the setting is most definitely "on." Additionally, my problem is specifically that the notifications do not go off when I have been sitting still for more than 10 minutes and my heart rate suddenly spikes.
For context, this most frequently happens during the day while I am sitting at a desk or on a couch for the span of at least an hour. My anxiety spikes usually happen in response to things like incoming text messages or phone calls, or while reading, while I am stationary and have been for more than 10 minutes, and yet the alarm never goes off. After the episode I will look at my app and see that it has recorded minutes, or sometimes while in the midst of an episode I receive a "goal completed!" notification, but no HR alarm though I have not moved from my seat all morning. The device does not seem to take my actual movement into account at all when recording "exercise."

Hi, @SunsetRunner, a couple of things to check, go to "settings" on your "Sense">touch vibration & audio>ensure settings are on "strong" (it's not very strong really & that may be your issue).
Check "Quiet modes" in settings, ensure DND is not engaged and sleep mode is off, both of these settings mute notifications.
I hope this helps be please post here again if you are still stuck.
Cheers

Hello and thank you again for helping me with this.
The only setting which was not already as you suggested was the vibration strength, but I do receive other notifications. I toggled everything off/on again and waited a few days, and unfortunately it still does not seem to be working for me. 😞
