For the first couple of weeks my Fitbit was working perfectly. After about a month my BRAND NEW Fitbit sense has been unable to detect my heart rate/ HRV and yesterday nothing in the Health Metrics logged or skin temp, sleep, SpO2. I contacted customer support their resolution was “look at the forums”. I have turned on/off and uninstalled and reinstalled apps. No change.

Sync your watch so you don't lose any data and do a factory reset. YMMV

As long as you sync before a factory reset you'll have all of your data, what you will lose are any setting you might have changed (not really a big deal), it's the data you want to save the settings can easily be redone. As far as it being risky or not, I've reset my Sense twice without any problems. I would suggest connecting your watch to WiFi before the reset cause blue tooth is much slower.
