Has the Sense been discontinued?

I saw where my Alta HR was discontinued, explains why it doesn't work now.

OK, on to the Sense (original), purchased in 2021. Disappointed that it didn't last long after 2 updates in 2022. Has that been discontinued as well?

There should be a page with discontinued items so it's easier to know if I/users need to purchase a different model/watch, instead of thinking it won't charge anymore or the updates failed.  I'm always on top of updates, but these last 2 over the summer killed my sense completely.

thank you.

Hi @newbiewitsense the best way to see what is currently being sold by Fitbit is their own online store. With the original Sense no longer listed for sale, then it's been retired. You can always find remaining stock for sale in authorized retailers such as Best Buy or Target, but eventually they won't have as large a selection. This is a great idea to put in the Feature Suggestions page https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/idb-p/features

Even if they are retired from sale, don’t they work until they die?  I’m sure I’ve used old models and I know many people who used the one until it broke, one just last year.

Hi @vee  yes, they can work for a long time. I used a retired device until it got too dim to see the screen - the Alta HR. The way it seems to work is that Fitbit currently will have updates for a device for two years after it was discontinued. After that time, it might not be able to use all the features. A friend of mine uses the Zip, which was retired more than two years ago and it still works fine.
