Having to purchase Premium

I have been a Fitbit wearer since 2015 and have introduced MANY to Fitbit. I have upgraded many times now owning the Sense. It was very costly and to get all of the features it offers I must pay an additional $79.99 a year. This is crazy. Why make a device and dangle a carrot in your face to have to pay additional money every year. Now I know why my friends have switched to Apple and Garmin’s.

Hello @Grj6biys and welcome to the Community.  There are features that require Premium and it doesn't matter which Fitbit you use.  Please see this comparison graphic.   My husband has been wearing a Sense since it was released and doesn't have Premium.  The only Sense specific feature that requires Premium (that I can think of) is the Snore Report.  The graphic lists advanced skin temperature details.

Why do you think you need Premium to use your Sense?

I have not purchased Premium but if I want to see details on sleep patterns, oxygen levels or heart monitoring details you have to pay for premium. Since I paid more for the Sense to get extra features I do not want to pay MORE to get the details. The details should be included.

I agree Grj6biys!  I have the sense which was a substantial investment and would have to pay for premium for readiness score and other metrics whereas I could get them included with apple or garmin.  When this one dies, I'll be switching which is unfortunate as I have been a loyal Fitbit user since the original days.

I agree. I have been a faithful, loyal Fitbit wearer myself but considerate changing due to this issue when mine dies.
