I've been using my Fitbit Sense for a few months, at first I was frustrated that water aerobics wasn't on the list of exercises I could add directly to the Sense. I was frustrated that the workaround of using a general workout didn't measure heart rate or other factors. I was frustrated that the Sense would only track swimming if you were moving. I was frustrated that once I started using the Fitbit Sense in the water I couldn't use the screen until the front and sides were dry.
Here is my hack.
I found that I was at least more confident in the data, and could see my stats and progress without all the guessing.

It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community, @Faun_in_Seattle.
Thank you for sharing with us how you track your water aerobics.
There is a feature suggestion called "Add water aerobics to the Exercise App list". You are welcome to vote it and if there is any update, it should be communicated as soon as possible.
Have a nice day.
