How do I customize the display on my Sense?

How do I change what’s on my display during an exercise?

I would like to customize what I see on my watch face while I’m going for a walk or run.

After choosing Walk or Run in the Exercise App but before starting, scroll down and you can customize top, middle, and bottom displays.

Choose the walk or run option from which exercise app - from my phone or my
watch?

When I do it from my watch, before selecting walk or run, I don’t have the
option to scroll.

When I do it from my phone from the exercise app, I click on the + and
can’t get the option to scroll as it sits on the map with a start button.
When I click on the exercise app (not the +), where do I select walk or
run? From the settings? Because when I click on walk or run, I don’t have
an option to scroll. It only gives me ‘auto recognize’ and ‘walk longer
than’ options.

This is for the Sense if that helps with direction.

Note I said after choosing walk or run but before starting.

On the Sense on your wrist, from clock face, scroll right to 'Exercise', tap 'Walk' (or 'Run'); on the screen that says 'Walk' with an orange Start arrow above it, scroll down (swipe up) to 'Show Stats' in orange; right below that is Top, Middle, and Bottom.  Tap each one of them to change the stat displayed in that position.
