How do I enable the snore detection on Sense?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When is this coming to the fitbit sense?   Or how can I enable it?  Would really like to try this out.

Thanks

James

Hi @Cj10488. Welcome to the Community.

Thanks for your interest in the snoring feature. Please let me explain that select Fitbit Premium customers with a Sense or Versa 3 will be able to track noise levels and snoring during sleep. I understand how much you'd like to have this feature available and your feedback will be passed along so our team can improve our features and make Fitbit more useful for you.

Have a good day.

Dear Lizzy, I don't understand anything from your answer. These features are already available to the Premium users or will be available in the future? Thanks.

Best Answer

So me being a premium member for over 11 years doesn't mean anything.  So if this isn't available for all premium members than I guess I'm going to have to cancel my membership after 11 years.  That is the one feature that would have made me stay.  I was already debating on canceling my membership since the extras aren't really worth it at this point and this just firmed up my decision.

Sincerely

James

Snoring detection is in a trial, being rolled out slowly and monitored.

Hi @AlphaState and @Rich_Laue. It's good to see you around the forums. @Cj10488 Welcome on board.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Please let me explain that because the Snore & Noise Detect is a new feature that we're trying out, it'll be available for certain Sense and Versa 3 customers that have a Premium subscription. I see your point of view about wanting to use this feature, especially if you have a Premium account and our team will continue working so you can have this feature in the future. Every feedback shared in the forums never goes unnoticed, and yours won't be the exception.

Have a good day.

Well I have officially canceled my premium membership.  When/if you guys make this available I might renew my membership but until then no thanks. That woild have been the one thing that I woild have stayed for but since that's not an option I cancelled it.

Sincerely

James

I have to agree with others, absent something like real-time SPO2 and/or snore detection, of what value is the so-called premium subscription.  And what pray tell is harmed by making the bata available to all premium accounts.

Best Answer

Your canceling because you don't have access to a feature that is currently in testing?

They have not ran enough tests yet to know if it even works properly, hence why they are randomly choosing a few people here and there as testers.

We will all get access to it once it's ready.

Ah thanks for that answer (although it was to someone else)

I was trying to find "snore report " app etc for my Sense couldn't find it ...now thanks i know its still in Beta and being tested am really looking forward to it being rolled out

Fitbit sucks! I bought 2 Sense watches.  One for me and one for my daughter.  My daughter has the snore Detect.  I want Fitbit to pull their fingers out and either completely remove the snor e function or give me the snor e function.  I bought the 2 Fitbits, I paid for Premium and gave my daughter money to pay for her premium. You will lose Premium numbers like leaves on trees in winter if you don't sort this issue out promptly.  If one of my purchases has a function the other does not,  I'll be taking them both back for a full Argos refund and will be requesting my premium membership to be refunded also.  Poor business decisions from the developers.

@JaceJ looking at the history of fitbit we see that they are consistant.

Fitbit does beta testing, then slowly releases to the public, carefully monitoring for any unforeseen issues. Eventually getting released to all.

I don't snore so I'm not really concerned, how every sleeping with the mouth open is a reason for a person to snore. It also can be a sign of an impending heart attack. I can therefore see a good reason for snore detection.

My next question, how does the tracker detect snoring? How bad does it affect the battery.

Best Answer

And is it still in the testphase? Since the situation seems to be the same still, the snore feature was one reason I chose fitbit sense and  now I don't seem to be able use it

Best Answer

It's working for me. I did 4 nights in a row the other week and decided to turn it off as snore and noise was none or minimal and the feature uses up a good amount of battery.

@Kimikazi   To the best of my knowledge, the snore detection has rolled out to all eligible users.  It is a Premium feature, so please look here:

  • Tap on your Sleep tile and choose a sleep record
  • Tap on your Restoration tile
  • The Snore & Noise is below the Restlessness section

Sense 2, Luxe, Aria 2 | iOS | Mac OS

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

As our friend mentioned, I'm happy to let you know the Snore Detection feature is already available to all our Sense and Versa 3 members that have a Premium subscription. Take in mind you may have to charge your watch more often when collecting this data. If you want to see your snore reports, please follow the steps provided by @LZeeW.

On the other hand, if you want to turn On or Off this feature, give a try to the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap the sleep tile.
  2. Tap the gear icon at the upper right corner.
  3. Tap the switch next to Detect Snoring. When you turn on Snore and Noise Detection for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions.

I’ve got premium. I’ve got a sense. I don’t have any snore & noise, no sleeping heart rate and no restlessness. When I click on “learn more” it says it’s a premium feature. When I click on the “get premium” it says that I’m currently subscribed and that it will renew on Sept 2022. Is it because I’m subscribed through apple? I don’t get why I can’t access these and all premium features.

@Alegom73 Welcome on board.

Thanks for the details provided, and your efforts while checking for those features. This is odd as you should get access to every Premium feature as long as you're subscribed. I understand this isn't your case and because your phone's app stored is authorized store, let me recommend the following steps:

  1. Forget your Sense from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Check if the Fitbit app is updated.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  5. Wear your watch to sleep one more night and check your details once you're awake.

Hello,

I got the Fitbit Sense 2 yesterday and got the Premium account as I was setting up, which says it will renew again next month. I have closed and refreshed the app, and have been wearing my watch for 24 hours.
I do not have the snoring feature available….

Why is this not available? Very frustrating. All I have if I go to the sleep button and click the ‘gear’ icon is: Time asleep goal, bedtime, wake up time, reminder, sleep sensitivity. That’s all.
