Hi!

I cant find a way to set and manage the Sense alarm ”app” in the phone (android) Fitbit app, seems so strange, is it a bug or is it a ”feature”?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi, @RB_Swe , you need to set and manage your alarms on the Sense, rather than on the Fitbit app on your phone.

Ah.

That's  very old fashioned.

It IS very odd that fitbit has kept so much functionality only on the watch. I mean, it makes sense to have it on the watch itself but it would also make sense to have it mirrored on the app...

Best Answer

I also wish Fitbit would enable a "settings" option for certain apps in the Fitbit mobile app, such as Alarms, Timers etc where you can manage your alarms, timers etc both from the sense itself as well as on the mobile app. Sometimes the larger screen of the smartphone makes things easier to manage. Also, the timer app isn't intuitive as to how to create multiple timers for reuse (you can get it to work but requires a lot of tinkering with it)

I have the Sense and have the same issue. Evidentally i set up a silent alarm when i first was did the initial setup. There are no alarms set on my watch (shows none and Alexa says none set) but every morning i get a 6:30 am silent alarm going off.  Additionally, i see the Alarms app (its checked) but there is no way to uninstall it. There is no where on the phone app to set up, modify or delete any alarms.  Any advice? Thanks

Well this sucks. Setting the silent alarm from the fitbit app was the only way to set off any kind of beacon to find your device when you've lost it. Now that functionality is completely gone. I'll never understand some of these absolutely absurd product decisions. I mean why isn't there a device locator app to begin with?? That's such a basic necessity and it would be so easy to build. What a joke of a development team.

Swipe left until you see 'alarms' and that alarm (you are referring to) should display as 'on': tap 'off' to turn it off and swipe up to scroll past the options ('smart wake' and weekly/daily recurring) until you see 'remove'.

If that doesn't work, I suggest customer service.

Hi everyone and for the ones that are new to the Fitbit Community, welcome.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about your Fitbit Sense. Let me explain that the option to set and manage your alarms was removed from the Fitbit app so you can do this process directly on your watch without needing to sync. While the Alarms app cannot be removed from your watch, you can move it to the end of your apps list with the steps described here.

I understand your point of view about using the Fitbit app to adjust your alarms and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. Our development team constantly works to improve our products and features, and feedback like yours helps us to evaluate our procedures and make Fitbit more useful for you. I'd encourage you to vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestions board so our team can keep tracking this request over time.

See you around.

I believe taking the alarm off Fitbit app also took away the ability to schedule the day of the week the alarms sound.

I seem to have the option of selecting any day or every day on mine. Below the 'smart wake' slider there are buttons for 'every day', 'Sunday', 'Monday',...

@Shabna Welcome to the Community. @99montez34 It's good to see you again and thanks for your amazing help!

@Shabna As our friend mentioned, you're able to schedule the days you want your alarms to go off on your Sense. Just open the Alarms app, tap + New Alarm, select the hour, then scroll down to adjust other settings such as Screen Wake and the frequency. Once you finish, tap Done. In case you haven't done so, please see this help article to learn more about how to manage your alarms on your watch.

Hope this helps.

One of Fitbit’s worst feature updates. This is not helpful at all and you don’t seem to want to listen to your users. Especially senior or maybe less technical users, this is a horrible way to treat users that want to use technology to help them in everyday life but are less able.
Much worse!!!!, your Fitbit support in the app and online support are not helpful at all.
I had to read a user’s suggestion to get it to work and even then tedious and not straight forward.
Sync is used for so much more (music) and Fitbit is suggesting that syncing alarms from app is too much!
Set new alarm, change time and adjust Am or Pm, then tap time which will allow you to scroll up to set other options such as Every day or each day or delete. If you do not tap time, it is impossible to set anytime other than current time.

@1dreamweaver Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your Sense. Let me explain that the Alarm app was developed to allow users to set alarms on their Fitbit devices without needing to sync, specially when internet or Bluetooth connection isn't available. However, I understand your point of view about setting up alarms on the Fitbit app, and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. While it's not possible to change the way the alarms are set up on your Sense, please know that your feedback is truly appreciated and it'll help us to work on our features, as well as make Fitbit more useful for you.

See you around.

I have the same problem!!! Every 4.20 am...is there an help?

Best Answer

Hi there, @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for joining this thread. Just to confirm, do you mean that you're unable to set alarms? As you may know, the Sense has an app that allows you to set alarms, adjust the frequency, and turn on or off the Smart Wake. If you haven't done so, please check this help article to learn more about the Alarms app.

Hope this helps.
