I am trying to be a bit constructive while we are waiting for the synchronisation issue being resolved. First, in my case it seems to be the continuous synchronisation not working. Unit and phone app are synchronised from time to time. After exercise I somehow manage to synchronise manually by restarting the unit and phone a few times. I honestly do not know what eventually does the trick. This is for exercise and health data. I have not tried to get notifications like SMS and e-mail to work, simply because it is not important to me. I still get SMS and e-mail on my phone, but my phone cannot provide me with tracker data.
I would like to know for how many days my Sense can store data before it starts losing unless it is synchronised. Reading “the main sync thread” I understand some have not been able to synchronise at all for the last week? Is this for notifications only? Or other data as well?
P.S I have noticed HRH are more accurate than before. 🧤

@LokeAa the sync after exercise problem is a chronic illness of my Sense. What works 90% of the times is:
1) reboot the device
2) quit Fitbit app (although this step isn't always needed), I use Android phone
3) let the device restart, go back to the app
4) open device settings in the app and sync manually
The most frustrating part is rebooting by holding the button because the button "depresses" in the middle of holding it and one has to start over the whole process. Really, I hate that button.
Usually, it will tell you to "sit tight" because it takes longer than usual but eventually will work. I have to do this every single time. My Sense doesn't sync automatically almost at all (very often last sync appears to happen only when I forced it after exercise). New firmware didn't improve it. Something to live with (it's Fitbit so chances it will ever get fixed are rather low).

Hi @LokeAa see page 72 of the user manual , it appears to tell more about the memory capacity.

@Odyssey13, yes it did. Thank you. I forget there is an English manual. The Norwegian version is not as detailed. Plenty of "For more information pls visit....help.fitbir.com, not always helpful 😉

@t.parker, mine has never been that bad. For some reason, my device and my phone have synchronised in the background today. Again, not notifications but my tacker and health data. I am sure you have, but just in case, you have disabled battery optimization in Fitbit app settings?
I find it strange how it can behave so differently on different devices. I run Android 11 on my phone. If you run an earlier Android, that might be an explanation?

@LokeAa I run Android 10 (which meets requirements) and battery optimization is off for the Fitbit app (and this app consumes a lot of power on my phone). There is one explanation, a single word: "Fitbit" 🙂 It's not my main device so not something I'm really worried about.

For me, so far, the app update 3.43.1 is working. I hope it will for you as well. The button, oh yes, assigning a function to the button which isn't a button, but a sensor is only one thing I want it to do. Nothing, except registering double press by accident as nothing.
