How to know if charging is going on

When I attach my watch to the charger, I can't find where there is an indicator that shows the charge is in process.  I have to assume it's charging, but when I leave it for overnight, it's instead all drained. Sometimes it goes to 100% other times to 0.

@flowergirl   This section from the Sense manual shows you the screens you will see while your Sense is charging.  You should try cleaning your Sense contacts if you are having trouble charging.  I clean the back of my Fitbits with alcohol and a very soft toothbrush.  I use a cotton tipped applicator dipped in alcohol for the charger.  Be VERY careful, so you don't push a pin in.  Please look closely at your charging pins.  If one looks damaged or pushed in, replace your charging cable.  The screen is very obvious when it is charging.

I know about the screens I can see, including the percent amount of charge in the battery. What I was ho find out is where does it show that my watch is actually charging? Is there a symbol or something I should look for? I am having problems where sometimes it's set up for charging, but instead, unknown to me, the charge wasn't working. When I remove the watch I see that the battery drained down to nothing over the whole time connected to the charger.

Thank you for your response, but apparently it doesn't go with Fitbit Sense. I didn't mention that I have the Sense watch.

I meant to say thank you about the information about the screens available while charging.  Plus, the correction to the words missing in what I wrote is: What I was hoping to find out....

@flowergirl   Yes, you mentioned you use the Sense and my link is from the Sense manual.  When you attach the charger, your Sense will vibrate and you'll see your current battery percentage for several seconds.  The battery icon has a lightning bolt in it when charging.
