Inaccurate stair count

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit sense started inaccurately counting stairs a few days ago. I’ve washed the back as well as restarted it. This Fitbit was recently changed due to manufacture recall on the versa I had prior to this. It is very frustrating that my previous Fitbit had to be replaced due to battery issues and now the one that was replaced by the manufacturer isn’t working properly!

Hi @Operationmom  - unfortunately the inaccurate stair count is a known issue on this watch.

Is there a way to remove the stair count from my stats?. I'm climbing stairs while I sleep at night.

Hi @Mcmilch - In the Fitbit App click Edit, top right and X against Floors, then click Done.

@Operationmom- If you have a very recent watch and the latest firmware it is possible that the floors count works.

Chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support to see if it's replaceable, but it may mean being without it for a while, and there may be other issues with the replacement.

I have the exact same issue and like you it is the replacement from a couple of months ago due to recall. Looking back through the forums this issue has been around for a couple of years. Check for updates, reset, clean, wear it tighter……all done with the problem remaining. Why is it not fixed we ask? Would like to hear from Fitbit support……

@1234Ethan- just had my watch replaced and the floor count is working now where it wasn't on the old watch since a firmware update mid 2021.
