My average floors in a day is around 20...for the last few weeks I've been registering 120 plus, sometimes 200. I know for sure I'm not doing that many. How do I correct this? I've reset the device several times, no change. Could it be my stride length casuing this? Or possibly one of the activities or sports I do?
My Fitbit Sense also just developed this problem with floor tracking. In the past, the number of floors recorded (accurately I believe) varied from about five to twenty. In the last few weeks it often shows one hundred or as many as around two hundred floors a day, (with the twenty-eight-day average being 100) which is totally inaccurate as I still climb between five and twenty floors a day approximately. Does anyone know what is going on with this and how to fix it?
Mine too. Suddenly I'm getting 100 floors a day. This morning I had 20 floors walking from the bedroom to the kitchen... And they are on the same level, no stairs involved!
I cant believe there hasn't been an update for trackers to fix the problem. I'm starting to think the sensor is faulty and @Fitbit doesn't want to recall the trackers. I'm going to contact warranty and exchange the device.
It certainly is possible the sensor is faulty but it would likely have to be it breaks easily as mine worked fine for about six months then went loony tunes. Or perhaps one of the firmware updates screwed things up. Let us know what you learn from Fitbit. Looking at a couple of threads on this subject it seems they just repeat useless jargon and fail to acknowledge the problem or address it
Best AnswerI contacted support this morning, they had me reset the device and asked to monitor it for a few days to see if that fixed the issue. I would suggest everyone do the same and if it doesnt open a ticket at that time.
