Is ECG available for India? Dec 2020

Is ECG app for fitbit Sense available in India as of now? I have read news articles online that say its available while some say its not. India is not in the list of the current countries with ECG on the fitbit website (https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/ecg).

Is there any point in buying Fitbit Sense now if ECG is not available in India?

Also, if and when Fitbit makes ECG available, it will just be a matter of installing the ECG app. Is that correct?

@Sid319, whether or not to buy the Sense if ECG is not available in your country will have to be your decision. Does it have other features you wish to have, or are you buying just for the ECG feature?

When the ECG feature becomes available in India depends upon the government of India approving the application of it. If/when it becomes available in India, you are correct that it will be a simple matter of installing the app on the Sense.  India is currently not on the list of countries it is available in.

ECG and the stress sensor are the only upgrades in Sense over Versa 3 and
the price difference is almost 13k INR. So if I was sure that ECG would be
available at some point I'm future, only then it would make sense to buy
Sense.

When ECG is not available at this point of time in India and  there is almost a 13K difference in price, which is a better choice between a Versa and Sense? Suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Hello @Anil-A Welcome to the Community Forums!

Please let me explain that we currently don't have a time frame when the ECG App will be available in India. I understand how much you'd like to use this feature and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. My best recommendation is to keep an eye to the Help Forums or the Press Release for future updates about this or any other feature availability. Please know that our team is always working to enhance your experience with the Sense and your feedback is a big part of that process.

Regarding your concern about Versa 3 and Sense, I would recommend checking their manuals by visiting the following links:
