Hi I have a few questions about the Fitbit protection plan, I saw in a setup video that when you set up a Fitbit sense, there is an option on the Fitbit app to add a protection plan. My questions are: how long is the protection plan going to last? Also I live in Canada, but I am planning to buy the Fitbit at the USA, so if I buy the fitbit at the USA and then I set up the protection plan will it still be honoured in Canada? For example, If I set up the protection plan on the fitbit app, then I go to Canada, then I accidentally break it, is the protection plan gonna be honoured?
thanks and I hope this makes sense,

Hi @ShadowNinja makes sense to me. I looked this up once for another Canadian resident. The Fitbit Protection Plan, per the Fitbit Moderator isn't for those who reside in Canada. However, I did a quick check (Sept 2021 for another member), if you purchase the extended warranty from SquareTrade (now Allstate) via Amazon, they have protection for Canada. Page 3 of that link does have phone numbers. Might be worth checking out. So it would seem that it doesn't matter where the Fitbit is purchased, as long as the extended warranty covers you while residing in Canada. Just so I'm right in telling you this, I've asked a Fitbit Moderator to stop by to address this with you.

Hi there, @ShadowNinja. @Odyssey13 Thanks for the help and heads up.
@ShadowNinja Thanks for the details provided, as well as researching for more information prior to posting. As @Odyssey13 mentioned, the Fitbit Protection Plan is available for certain devices in the United States. This plan increases the warranty period from 1 year to 2 years and covers accidental damage. More details can be found in this help article.
I understand your concern about getting an extended warranty for the Sense and while this protection plan may not work for you, you can check with other retailers to see if they have one that best works for you.
