Just upgraded to the Sense

I have been using my Ionic since they first came out, and was very happy with it. Once I received the email about the recall, I followed the procedure and thought I would (again) go for the top of the range. Once it arrived and I started using it, I found out that you cannot download your own music to it. As I use it mainly when I am out running, It is of no use to me. So my question is. Can I return it and swap it for something that I can use properly.

Cannot understand why this feature isn't included on the watch. And I don't want to pay over 10 Euros a month to have access to music that I am not interested in, i.e. Deezer

@GazzerG Fitbit has a 45 day return policy. But you pay for shipping. You might like the Versa 2 better. Can store music as well doesn't have the heart rate issue, since you're a runner as well.

And in the same time it lacks GPS so it is not a good choice for most runners.

Thanks for that. I have been in touch with their support people and will be sending it back on Monday. I will also be looking into the others in the range. But may ultimately think about a different supplier. Next time I will be more cautious and not just go for the "top of the range" model..

@Soyerski123 It doesn't have onboard GPS, but it has connected GPS. I leave GPS off and track miles with Samsung health app anyway, for battery life.

@TommyIzzo then in this case you can actually use Music from your phone. Not exactly what @GazzerG is asking as he definitely wants to leave his phone home when running

Let's recap the situation

Ionic: music on board YES, GPS Yes -> out of production / recall

Versa 2: Music on board YES, GPS No

Versa 3/Sense: Music on board NO, GPS Yes

I would like to add that heart sensor of Versa 3 / Sense is absolutely terrible.

Based on the above I think @GazzerG should revise the title of the topic in "Just downgraded to the Sense"

Jokes aside I agree that for your needs I would think to a different brand as Fitbit can't definitely cover your needs.

@SunsetRunner Ah, you're right. Perhaps I should have reread the original post. 🤣

I am in the exact boat as you GazzerG, just come off chat and will be returning this back after this "downgrade" to a Fitbit No Sense from a Ionic. I asked if they could reactivate my Ionic and I was happy with the risk of it melting my arm off but they refused. Time for a Garmin

I may do the same. Their answer for the heart rate issue us to reset it and see. What a piece of rap this is.
