Latest Firmware update (2/4/25) didn't go through

yesterday I got a notice that I needed to update the firmware.
So I went through the process....

My Fitbit reset...and then died
It won't charge..that I can tell
It won't reset
I get it's a zero percent...after starting off the day with a full battery
The only thing showing after being on the charger for hours is the fitbit logo.
I press the reset button..it buzzes, blinks..then comes back to the logo

I don't think the Update completed...because the app still tells me the firmware needs to be updates...but this could be because the Fitbit won't connect to the phone

I've had it on the charger for hours...it shows the Fitbit logo...but not doing anything...
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I did contact Fit bit support...
they walked me through all kinds of trying to reset the fitbit...and after trying 10 different things ..they basically said...SORRY..we can't help fix the problem we caused...and since your product is out of warranty and see suck at owning something WE CAUSED ... you are screwed..However we will give you 35% off of purchasing a new one (in the good  old days' companies would replace defects caused by them.)

so what I did is let it completely let it drain...
I completely removed the app.
I recharged the Fitbit...
I got a red X saying it could not sync
I reinstalled the Fitbit app ...it came on...I syned it... I'm good.

Google now owns fitbit...I think I saw were they are Not going to make any more (usually happens when one company buys another...they assimilate the good bit and throw out the original)

THis is my last fitbit... I've owned one since they had the clip on model.

will be looking for a better replacement when this really dies.

Similar problem here. Mine's not completely dead but no text is showing, making entertaining the PIN almost impossible. Most of the menu options are just blank spaces. I remembered the exact location of the restart option so I scrolled through the blank spaces and restarted the watch, but that didn't work. The watch is basically unusable now

I had submitted a thread in the community forum.  I got a reply from someone from fitbit who sent me a link to complete a form which I did. I got an email close to 11 pm last night saying I would be contacted in the next few hours. I'm still waiting.I don't think we are the only impacted users.Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S24, an AT&T 5G smartphone

A fitbit considers it our fault....won't replace it...unless under warranty

Hi @Vswindell@Pamfootsteps and @PCsurgeon, Thank you four your responses.

I'm glad to help update your Fitbit device.

Occasionally a firmware update will start and stop or otherwise fail. Considering the description of your issues, i would suggest to follow the instructions listed in our help article Why can't I update my Fitbit device? below the section "Sense series and Versa series".

If you are still unable to make your device work even after these steps, you can do just like @Pamfootsteps did and contact our support team for further investigation.

The count with better resources to research in depth.
