My GPS watches always underestimate the distance. It is an easy software to learn the correct distance.
1. Distance of going forward and returning back should be Equal!! It never is by my GPS.
2. When GPS is over a known trail or road that is already in the maps. Why not correct the distance with the map information?
3. Different Satellites give different distances on my watch. Why not store the information of my runs on map and follow it with GPS with adding corrections along the way.
Google has hundreds of smart software engineers that could improve the GPS tracking on the Sense watch.

Hi @DrWho,
While you are correct that the software is simple, your GPS and your Sense may be using 2 different metrics to measure distance, hence why the inaccuracies.
