Major issues with my Fitbit Sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have not had my sense long and it is not showing the notifications when I swipe down (intermittently). When I swipe up I get a blank screen. The auto recognise of activities has stopped working. The heart rate monitor is definitely wrong as an hour lifting heavy weights does not take my heart rate above 100, something I know it does as I have had a heart rate monitor on my wrist for the last 6 years.  The hourly reminder to move works infrequently and I often miss my 250 an hour because I have not had the reminder. Added to this there are a few other things that stop working intermittently. I recently performed a factory reset and it was only 1 day before the issue started happening again.

Is there a way to get the sense to act like is should?

Hi @SunsetRunner - is it possible that the watch is not syncing properly with the phone, this may cause an intermittent issue with communications.

Have you restarted the phone and synced? Make sure that both Bluetooth and the Fitbit App run in background and that the phone is nearby as notifications come from the phone over Bluetooth.

As regards the 250 steps reminber it should be noted that the vibrations are very weak on a Sense, and get weaker as the battery level falls, so it's possible to easily miss them.

If this function is important to you, I use the  SimpleClockPro clock face which has conditional reminders at 40 and 50 minutes and a fixed one at 55, if the full amount of steps have not been reached. It may heighten the chance if being alerted as it comes from the watch face and has a stronger alert feature.

I have restarted my phone and as I said I have also done a factory reset. There is no Bluetooth issue it is a problem with the watch. The issue with the notifications is not a phone issue. I get notifications sometimes and when there are none a dropdown shows an "all caught up" message. In my case it will not let you pull down intermittently. Added to this the problem with swiping up is showing a blank screen so I can't get any of the breakdown data.

I like the like of that watch face, but the issue is not the missing activity reminder because the vibrations are weak, they are not happening.

To be exact my problem is that my Sense is basically a very expensive step counter
