My Sense is undercounting my steps

I've had this issue with my last two FitBits, I was hoping Sense would be better.

I'll go to the treadmill and it logs 2 miles.  Fitbit shows almost 1 mile.

I'll spend the day walking with my husband, right next to him.   His will say perhaps 12,000 steps.  Mine will be about 7,000.

I can't really rely on the stats I'm getting, Sense is not so sensible.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Sense. Thank you for the information provided.

Holding the bars of the treadmill or stopping in the middle of the exercise may interrupt SmartTrack and therefore provide inaccurate readings. Please try to swing your arms during your activity as if you were walking out side. Whether you continue experiencing the same problem, please restart your Watch by following these instructions.

In addition, you can follow the recommendations in this article in the menu "What can I do if my step count seems inaccurate?".

Hope this helps.

Actually I did a lot of reading, research, restarting, swinging arms.  I suppose this is why I don’t post in the forum with this issue.  Given that I’ve had FitBits for years, worked with support, done everything to my wits end, my last try was the Sense. I had hopes, but it’s no difference. The treadmill is a clear example. But anything else that I consider an activity to show steps is the same. I gave up, really, because nothing is going to make it right. Not even this expensive watch. Time to move in. Thanks for noticing.
