My watch was working fine, but now the screen is black. I tried holding the button done, as shown in the you tube example, but I am not even getting a vibration. I have had this watch since December. Any thoughts?

I am having this same issue.
A week previously I started having difficult moving off the Watch face to see my step count as well.

@Shari1961 welcome to the Fitbit community.
Before the screen went black, what was your battery percentage? If it was very low it probably died on you. A lot of people have charger cable issues, so make sure your connection is clean and firmly placed. I would let it sit on the charger for 15 minutes or so and then reattempt to long pressed the button on the side. Since it's dead you won't feel a vibration so make sure you press it like you're squeezing not just pushing.

I cannot answer for @Shari1961 but for myself my battery was at 70%.

I’m having the same issue. It will only show the main clock face now, and when I swipe up, it goes black. Also won’t sync with weather any more.

It charges just fine. The clock face appears but now when I swipe up, the
screen is black.
It's not dead - I charge successfully every evening. My clock face displays and if I tap the clock face, I can see what different measurements are applicable. However, it no longer scrolls up to see the different screens. I can swipe right and see the different icons. Just can't scroll up.

It just came off the charger. In case it didn't charge, I put it back on the charger but still nothing.

My sense is doing the same thing. I was charged greater than 50%. I cleaned the back and the charging cord but still no vibration and a black screen.

My Sense is also dead. Black screen. Nothing happens when I press buttons. No effect after being over 24 hours in charge. No effect to change charger.

I have my fitbit sense on charge since last evening, tried cleaning up the charging point both on wire and watch, tried long press several times, the watch is not getting charged at all. Showing black screen since yesterday. I have this watch since January this year. Was there any recent update which is causing these issues in Sense devices?

Problem seems to be resolved. After 0% screen it started and begun to charge. In some ways this seems like an erlier programming error on the side of Firbit.

Update! I left the watch sit for a day and when I picked it up again, it said 0%. I cleaned the back where it charges and put it back on the charger.
I am guessing when it hit 0% it reset the watch, because I was able to charge it and it is working now.

My Fitbit Sense started this nonsense yesterday, was on charger for 24hrs, switched outlets etc, and still nothing. I wiped the back of watch and prongs on charger w wet qtip and wiped it off. It's now working. 🙄 charging etc.
Guess since I wear it constantly, except in or around water, that it gets "gunked" from body oil, skin etc. 🤔

i had this previos imput... is more explaining about what happend with my watch
Yesterday....I was walking in the street, i wanted to se the time, I checked it (7:03pm) and after that all went wrong.
First I noticed i couldn't change to other screens; then I realized the red light stayed on and the watch started to get hotter and hotter; also the side bottom doesn't vibrate. Nevertheless, I managed to do a rest (by pressing the side bottom for 10 sec) i see the logo but the screen and then i saw the main screen with the time 7:03 (despite the fact is already passed 10 minutes) and then went black.
I did 3 times the rest and I got the same result after that. I tried to do a hard reset by getting into the fitbit app but my cell phone didnt find the watch, so i couldnt do it. I try to connect the watch but nothing shows up. Today. I tried to charge, since the screen is totally black, but I think it is not charging now.
