Hi,
my sense just died yesterday. It started vibrating and the Fitbit logo came on. Battery was at 95% at the time. I assumed i had reached my steps goal. But it kept vibrating intermittently and the screen went black. It kept doing that for about an hour and then it was gone. I plugged it in when i got home and tried to restart it but it won’t do anything.

Hi,
My Sense died yesterday too. It was charging and I tried to check to see what percent charge it had and it changed to the logo screen. I tried the advice of others - holding the side button until it vibrates to reset - but it didn’t work. I bought it in June 2022 so not even two years old. 😞

I just got off the chat with the support team and tried to troubleshoot it without success. They’re providing a discount to get another one but looking for the email i just realized that this is the 3rd year in a row (same month and everything) that I have to replaced my watch. Not sure these are worth it anymore.

I'm stuck with the same issue. I'm trying to figure this out for my senior dad who for love of me won't be able to do this on his own. He needs it mostly for his O2 saturation level monitoring and His died or stuck on logo in just a little over a year but outside the warranty period. Now their offering us a discount on a new one but I'm not sure I would want another. I've looked around these forums and I am getting different or rather incomplete steps on how to perform the reset w/ the settings. Unfortunately, even after following the complete steps from chatting with the support team, I was unable to initiate the factory reset. Hence. the discount. In any event, I am posting the complete set of instructions I copied from my chat so hopefully, it'll help someone else that's in the same predicament. Please note that after Step No. 8 or releasing the button after the long vibration, the screen is suppose to go black for, I was told about 1 minute at least before the screen turns on again. I never got to that part so I don't know what the screen shows when it does. But here are the complete steps per the customer support team. Good luck.
Please follow the next steps.
1. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off
2. After the screen turns off, you'll feel a short vibration:
3. When you feel the vibration, release the button
4. And immediately press and hold the button again.
5. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
6. Immediately release the button
7. And then immediately press and hold it .again, until you feel a vibration
8. After you feel the vibration, release the button.

One last and very important step is that the watch should be fully charged or if you do not get a charge indicator perhaps charge it over a period of time say overnight before trying the reset. The watch should be "disconnected" from the charger when performing the reset procedure. There. That should conclude the instructions.

My sense died last week, basically just went black, and nothing I did could get any response from it. Tried charging etc, all the usual stuff, and nothing worked. Yesterday, after I ordered a new watch (not a fit but). I put I it back on the charger and it came t to life. I'm speculating that it was a software error, and once the battery completely drained, it removed the error. So now I'll have two watches, but that's okay. I'll try the other watch and see how I like it. I'd like to move away from the Google controlled environment to wear OS, but can't stand the short battery life. I also want to move away from having to pay a hefty subscription to look at my own data. Google is getting too much like Apple for my taste.

Thank you bruins151! I read all the comments and was feeling defeated until I tried the steps you posted from the support team. I tried it twice and it worked finally and surprisingly the second time, so Yayy! I was thinking I would have to get a new watch, even looked up my receipt that has the warranty date listed. I have a 3 year warranty and I am only in the second year. Hopefully this is not the start of the breakdown and that this fix lasts for awhile at least.
