I feel like Fitbit tried to make a Ferrari, but put a Volkswagen engine in with only 2nd gear. Sense has the potential to be a good product but Fitbit needs to listen better. So many complaints unanswered, unfixed… it really does seem like they just don’t care. But good thing they changed the watch screen menu, last update (sarcasm of course ;). Maybe work on the multiple issues that stop people from enjoy this expensive product. If Fitbit needs answers as to why their stock has dropped so much, and lost the faith of so many customers… maybe just maybe.. listen better. I’m saving for an Apple Watch and will never be going back to Fitbit.

Had the original Versa and that was built like a tank! Metrics were great as well! No inaccurate floor counts and HR was supposedly great. Wan't too aware of HR issues with trackers back then...
Upgraded to Sense, and I think you're right in general about the hardware. Watch itself looks great! Hardware issues experienced was only the charging cable not lasting long. That's about it.
The majority of the issues appear to be on the software side of the equation. I think Fitbit was vying for a bigger marketshare with the original Versa and was probably more focused in the user's experience back then.
We can only guess what's going on with Fitbit nowadays...

I agree with most of what you say, @SunsetRunner and @SunsetRunner.
But I wouldn't say Fitbit doesn't care about our complaints as users. I would rather bet that the software team just can't keep up with all the bug or shortcoming reports and complaints. But so far I had a good experience with chat support, the few times I used it. They were really helpful and quick to respond. Although the solution to my problem then (with a Versa 2) was a quick return and refund...
My opinion is that the base Sense problem is a commercial one: they tried to keep up and even go ahead the other competing brands on new features, without being fully prepared for it. I actually bought my Sense because of the new ECG feature, which works quite well. I also note an improvement on the ocasional innacuracies of heart rate, compared to my previous Versa 2. Still not perfect, but after a few weeks I learned how to avoid those awkward spikes I had often in the beginning. The new tips on the manual and the net help pages were quite helpful.
There is also the very different ways users use the Sense. There are the old walkers, like me, who just don't jog nor use Sense on heavy physical activities, and the other extreme, like the young intense runners, for instance. Browsing this forum, I realized the problems are often the opposite for ones and the others. So, the question is: is it wise, or even feasible, to release a product that tries to please everyone?
So, maybe in 6 months from now we will have a Sense with very few bugs... I hope that will be sooner 🙂
