Adding Wells Fargo Amex card to wallet

I have a Sense and am trying to add my Wells Fargo American express card to my fitbit pay wallet.  It keeps rejecting it saying this card and/or bank are not supported but they are according to the lists.  I have tried on wi fi and off of wi fi and every way I can think of and it keeps rejecting it and my card works with google pay and the account has no problems with it so I am frustrated by not finding a solution.  Any Help?

Hi @skerdoctor yes Wells Fargo is supported, maybe AmEx is not. 

As for on or off WiFi, this would be the way the phone connects to the Internet.

Thanks. I spoke to a gentleman on fitbit chat and he seemed to believe
that Amex was accepted and Amex shows on the bank and card list. I saw
some Redit solutions that people had success after disconnecting from wifi
and using cell service to get their cards to go through, that is what I was
referring to.
