I can never get my sense to stay connected, i have to keep my phone in my pocket close to the watch. My wife got a smart watch not fitbit, and gets messages about 50 feet away from phone. At this point its just a watch, i think ill go back to my old 30 dollar calculator watch. Can it be fixed

How far are you when you get the phone disconnected symbol on your Sense? I just walked away from my phone about 39 feet and my watch was still connected. Bluetooth in general is rated at 30 feet so anything farther is a plus. Keep in mind that any walls decreases the range as well. Also, do you and your wife have the same phone? If it's the same, you've tried leaving your phones in the same spots and walking to the same distance to truly see how far they disconnect? Depending on your wife's watch, she could also be connected to WiFi with it and still get messages, the Sense can't do that.

 

I see the Sense as health tracker first and smart watch second as it's better in battery life than the majority of true smartwatches (Wear OS, Apple Watch, etc.) but it's lacking in the notification interactions (Unable to preview pics in notifications, limited viewable text compared to Wear OS, etc.). It's definitely a lot more capable than a 30 dollar calculator watch.
