No Stress Management Score due to manually entered Sleep Score

I have tried everything to get a Stress Management Score, but as my Fitbit Sense (has) NEVER recorded my sleep data in depth enough to grant me a sleep score (it may record the odd hour or two at the beginning of the night, but even that is rare).

This has been such an upsetting issue for me (no one buys a sense if they aren’t fully invested in enjoying all the advertised information possible) - but I resentfully accepted this defect in the way my sense reads/doesn’t read my sleep by manually entering the times I fell asleep and woke up every single daybecause THEN I am (usually) awarded a sleep score with all the associated data - times, light/deep/REM, HR, restlessness%, breaths p/m, HRV, SpO2 etc etc, which is all very important to me - so I just made do… BUT!!!:

Having to enter the data myself & gaining my sleep score that way obviously doesn’t jive with whatever algorithm makes up the Stress Management Score, because it won’t use my sleep score & it’s associated data - not unless the device has recorded the entire sleep on it’s own without my input

 

I must admit, I am doubly upset about this whole thing now because as the Daily Readiness Score has been introduced and I see that I am able to get those scores easily & daily without me having to do anything at all to be awarded such awesome information (SO excited to see that I got a 99 this morning!! It also mentioned that my body is good & ready for a hardcore workout that should be over an hour long 😲  - Normally, today, I would not be doing anything as I am feeling blue thanks to adjusting from one antidepressant to another & am just feeling a little unbalance still - but thanks to this new feature I have been inspired with the motivation & enthusiasm that I did not have before opening my fitbit app & finding this score this morning)

 

UNFORTUNATELY, it’s when I experience a joy like this from your product that I realise how much I’ve actually been missing out on by accepting the fact that my premium membership won’t present me with a simple Stress Management score. This is especially upsetting because stress is the biggest issue I deal with on a daily basis - and obviously the reason why I bought this particular device (my Sense) in the first place! It’s advertised directly toward the stress-focused section of your market… aiming at whole “wellness” deal, by showing off the special EDA meditation features etc. 

 

I’m so mad that i let myself resign to the fact that the Stress Management Score was just a feature that I had to live without because I couldn’t deal with the stress of having to deal with trying to make something work that I was already doing everything possible for!

And NO - I do not find the irony of my stress over a stress management score amusing in the slightest 😣 It’s just not right (I’ve missed out on months & months of having a precious glimpse into a fragile part of myself/life that could’ve possibly offered me inspiration in how to take on my day in a different/more productive way like the Daily Readiness Score has allowed me to) even though I have all the data that the Stress Management feature supposedly needs to function! …so something is wrong — and it’s not just with me,lol.

P.s - please keep in mind I have tried all the usual suggested troubleshooting steps to rectify this - the fact is that my device hasn’t recorded my sleep data on it’s own without my input since I first purchased it in July.

It is because I let this issue slide & found my own way to work around this (by manually entering the data), that I am now missing out on other features. New features, that I admit I have let slide for a few months but as I mentioned before - I am now 100% no longer willing to let these slide by…I like the effect that my fitbit has on my life and I don’t want to miss out on a single thing, so I need a real solution - now!

Hi, @bunney  - presumably you restarted the watch already and in the watch Settings set up a sleep schedule.

 

This may help the watch know when you may be sleeping so there is no need to enter it manually.

 

Use a period that covers your usual sleep time, as it will still know when you are awake.

 

Try and see if that helps. If not contact Fitbit from the App, click Profile photo and help & support.
