Hi Fitbit/Google Community,

I want to use my watch (Fitbit Sense) to set reminders to do things. It looks like if I trigger Google Assistant and say, "Remind me to xxxx at xxxx" a Google Task is created. However, when the date/time occurs, my watch is silent. What do you suggest?

I am using Google calendar and calendar events do sync as I see them in the Agenda on my watch. The tasks do not sync unfortunately. That's where my issue remains. I see a task my watch created on my Google calendar on my Pixel phone. However, my watch does show that same task ever. Communication of tasks appears to be unidirectional.

I see what you mean and might have found a solution. I could have sworn I saw Tasks in the Agenda app on my Sense, but you are correct, the Agenda app only displays calendar "Events", it is listed right there in the Fitbit app (displays Events from your calendar...). But go into the Fitbit app and go into your watch settings menu > Notifications > App Notifications > scroll down and find Tasks and click the box. I did that and created a new test task on my Google Calendar and sure enough the task notification appeared on my Sense and I could dismiss the task from my watch.

@bendon do you have the Agenda app installed on your Sense? You need that in order to get task notifications.

Thanks for the prompt response, Amanda!

I don't have calendar, but I do have Agenda (see image) made by Fitbit.

I looked for something called "Calendar" in the store, but nothing was officially made by Fitbit or Google.

Agenda on my Sense is synced to my Google calendar on my phone and I see calendar notifications on my Sense. Assistant will default to asking for "reminders" as a Google Task. Those Tasks should appear in your Calendar if you are using Google Calendar.

Brilliant! That resolved it for me as well @Scott337. I wonder why Google Assistant prompts you after creating a reminder to "install calendar on your watch" when 1. they must mean Agenda and 2. that's not even the right app or approach.

I wore Android Wear / Wear OS watches for many years before switching to Fitbit and I think the app on those watches is called Calendar just like on the phone, so Assistant is probably coded to use the generic term "calendar" regardless of what watch you are using.

Maybe. Lazy programming.

I hope it stops suggesting "Also to be sure you get task notifications,
install calendar on your watch" every time I create a reminder. Right now
it prompts me every time with this BS each time.
