I always forget to stop my exercise app after my 1hr class. It keeps tracking. Is there anyway to set it to stop automatically?

@SunsetRunner   You can't set it to stop automatically, but you can try this -- you can start a countdown timer right before the class starts and before you start the Exercise app.  The countdown timer can run in the background, so you must start it first.  The countdown timer will vibrate until you turn it off.  That will get your attention.

You call yourself YogaKaren.  If your class is yoga, it won't get picked up as an auto-recognized exercise.  Yoga is not active enough.  An active cardio workout type class might be auto-recognized.  You wouldn't need to start/stop for something more active.
