Hi, I'm curious if it's going to be possible to use the Fitbit Sense and the Pixel Watch in on account. So that you can switch between them.
For example if you need a longer battery life for longer hikes, or a weekend without a charger?

The only way at this moment is to unpair one device and pair the other, I used to do it with my Ionic and Sense, it works but you have to re setup some of the features like SpO2, Bluetooth calls, etc...

Hello @Rumba_Rock and welcome to the Community. I'm not sure there is an answer for you until the Pixel is released. The current limitation is that you can't have two Gallery enabled devices on your account at the same time. The Sense and the Pixel have two entirely different operating systems.

The moment you attempt to switch it will disconnect the Sense, so the moment you want to go back to the Sense from the Pixel watch you will have to disconnect. This is the current way Fitbit app is configured. It could change, but I don't see Google changing that.

That's what I feared...seems to be really complicated to use two watches with one account.

Somewhere I read the same thing, that it should be possible under certain conditions.
I think at one point I had a charge 3 and a versa 2 linked to my account.
@Jdsenter I tried the same thing, connecting the pixel watch will remove the sense.
That's really a shame, I don't want to replace my sense completely...

I realize there might be software limitations, but it will be a big hassle to switch entirely from one device to another every day. I have a Sense, and I compared the Sense’s features with the Pixel watch, and it turns out the Pixel watch does not offer many of the tracking features that Sense does. Also, the Pixel watch’s battery will only last for 24 hours, and that would be a stretch. This means I will need to charge it overnight and cannot use it for sleep tracking. It would have been really great if we could pair both devices under an account, so we could just switch to using them daily. I really want to get a Pixel watch, but I also don’t want to give up using the Sense. It is a shame that they both can’t co-exist under the same account, and I know many others who are also having the same dilemma.

@justabitfitmayb there really is no limit, software or hardware, it is how they designed the solution, one modern device at a time, when not connected the other device (at least this worked with my Ionic and Sense) stays configured and does not wipe, Fitbit pay was configured on both devices, stayed configured only one device would home into the app.
So when I switch from a device I synced them switched device, then forced sync, it took all the steps from the previous sync and synced to new device, until switched again, but there were things that were different between the devices that had to re setup.
With two or more devices it can handle steps or health information and sync them like it does with mobile track or you have an older non gallery device.
But Fitbit had chosen to force their users into one account one device model. Google may change that but we will see.

It's so stupid that you can't I was going to buy a pixel watch but I will just stick to my sense now as it is hard to use both on on account.

It's really weird that they make you choose one watch, especially when they can track very different things, like skin temperature or eda response.

I give it a try, but I worry a little bit about the disappearing data, like skin temperature or the eda readings. I think when you disconnect the sense, they disappear until you connect it again. Also the pixel watch doesn't support sleep profiles, so I'm curious how this ist going to work out...

@Rumba_Rock you do not lose any data, just won't get any updated data while wearing the different watch, so as Sense records SpO2, skin temperature, etc while sleeping, I would wear that device during sleep, but then switch during the day to Pixel Watch, as during the day the Sense doesn't record updated data while awake. The data is stored in the app and synced to the cloud, once stored in the cloud, unless user deleted it doesn't go away.

Fitbit claims that the limitation is in the app store, as mentioned above, for the watch.
We can still add a fitbit one, a Charge HR, and a Flex 2 with no issues.
However, I'm confused, the Pixel watch should not need access to the fitbit app store, since Google will be handling the apps on the watch.

@Rich_Laue Google is trying to differentiate the products they don't want people switching.
Now it is more profitable as the more devices one buys the, more money they make.
Now my experience with the Ionic and Sense, they both stay configured and even the Fitbit pay virtual cards stay activated. I don't yet have the pixel watch, but I am assuming they will act the same.

That's what I'm going to do. Switching to the sense is not so annoying. Not sure how the pixel watch is going to be, since it is not running Fitbit os. I still have to wait a few days before I can try it 😑

@Rich_Laue I'm also confused...but apparently Fitbit changed the way they are handling multiple devices. I read something about that in a recent article from Android Authority.

This question is a few months old and this isn't the best solution....and quite possibly is a stupid one...but I'll share anyway. When I tried to hook up both my Fitbit Sense and Pixel watch in one account, I couldn't. So, I created a second account for my Pixel watch. Of course, this isn't really a solution for reasons such as not having your historical data, time wasted switching accounts, and other general PITA things that having two accounts creates - but I did it anyway. I just thought I'd share!
