Problem with Fitbit sense while boxing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I just bought my sense, and I love it but my biggest issue I notice is that when I’m boxing with hand wraps I have to aghast it higher on my arm (which is no problem) but the button is super sensitive and every time I go throw a hook or even a jab, the button gets hit and pauses my session or workout and it’s annoying to stop, take my gloves off and resume it…so I was wondering how do you guys wear it to avoid it or is there a feature where I can lock the screen?

Hi @WimboWhey101.

Unfortunately there is no screen lock feature (which would completely solve your issue), although you could vote on this feature suggestion (here). As you can see though it has been open since 2018 and says it is currently not planned, so take that as you will.

The button on the device is inductive and relies on a difference in pressure somewhere between that point and the casing. The only thing I can suggest is to try wearing it even further up, but I'm not sure it will make any difference. Fitbit could easily fix this issue by giving us a simple and easy to implement feature. Hopefully this will be something we see in the future.

@WimboWhey101 to add what already @N8teGee said, have you tried to turn the watch around so the button would face your elbow, not the wrist? It will be all upside-down but I don't think it would matter during boxing. From that side, there should be less chance of pressing that horrendous button (I really hate that button :D).
