My exercise app will not open, the weather is reporting crazy temperatures.; I have tried powering down, resetting, disconnecting it and re connecting nothing is working to correct issues. The only thing I have not tried is a factory reset and I am hoping it doesn't come to that due to data loss.

My sense is the original one. I've found I've never had successful updates unless I do a factory reset. Go into the settings in my watch, in the about watch there is factory reset. I press it and let it go through all the steps as if it brand new. The only thing I lose is my notification settings go back to original. I don't lose any data at all. I also always delete the watch out of my app. I then start it up again, put it on the charger and go through as if brand new. It often makes things work properly - at least for a while.
Since the beginning my watch has been nothing but trouble. However still nothing like Sense 2. I also despise the new app for Android. The app didn't need to change other than to return back to what was available for the Sense since day 1 before Google purchased it.
Usually the first clue updates are happening but not necessarily available for me yet, my sleep stages get screwed up...it stops recording them.
Sadly the only steps that give my watch a chance to update or reset is that full factory reset.
I've owned mine 3yrs now and since it only worked perfectly for approx 6 months.

Hi @Deb1979 - sync if you can before the factory reset in order to not lose any data stored on the watch, all other data are stored in your profile online.
If you do a factory reset it is not without risk, once started leave 5 minutes before doing anything with the watch.
