Hello there, is there any way to increase the breathing rate on the relax app. Im finding it way to quick, wanted to set it say 5 seconds inhale, 8 seconds exhale or maybe even set it by breaths per minute.

At the moment my hr increases by the end which I'm sure isn't the idea.

Thanks

HI @garybrett1703 - There is no way to change the breathing rate in the Relax app ... just the duration of the Relax session. Full details are here.

But you may want to pay special attention to the beginning of the session where it senses your breathing. You are prompted to: Remain still and breathe deeply during the calibration period, which lasts 30-40 seconds. The phrase “sensing your breathing” will appear on your screen.

During this time, slow down your breathing. Try to breath following the rate you specified (5 sec/8 sec). I use this app every day before bed and also at times of stress. At first, it was too quick for me, too. But focusing on the sensing/calibration period slowed it down for me over time. You may want to give it more time. Please let us know if this helps.

@SunsetRunner  ahhh, that sounds good ill give it a go in a bit and see what happens.

I've been doing yoga/meditation for many years so I think my breathing has reached a nice slow level and the relax app threw me off a bit.

Thank you very much Carol

I'm giving up on the Relax app on my Versa 3. It's too quick, and trying to align makes my heart rate increase. Yesterday, after two minutes of trying to make that darn circle purple, my HR went up by 14. Definitely not the point. My self-guided meditation works much better.

That is exactly what I do and the breathing rate is still way too fast. It's as though it doesn't sense my breathing at all. Using the relax feature actually increases my heart rate. It's as though it's causing me to hyperventilate.
