Resting heart right accuracy

  • I don't know if my new fitbit is still "getting to know me" but it has my resting heart rate at 60 yet every single night list my RHR as being below that (50 - 55) for 90% of the night. Which is the RHR I had on my Garmin before I switched. Surely if it's below 60 for 90 percent of rest time the HR is lower than 60

Hello @Sarokel and welcome to the Help forums.  Fitbit uses both awake and asleep heart rates when calculating resting heart rate.  The sentence from Fitbit's Help article says it uses heart rates from, "when you're still and well rested."  I suspect that differences between Fitbit and Garmin come from different, proprietary algorithms used to calculate resting heart rate.

That'll be an issue, I don't tend to stay still during the day 🤣
