I have had a Fitbit for many years with no problem. Today I took delivery of my Fitbit sense. The screen will not wake up when I move my arm like all the other fit it’s. I have been on and altered to wake up automatically but it will not I am really disappointed

Hi @Tr0y. Welcome to the Community Forums. @bobby2478, it's good to see you around.
@Tr0y, thanks for joining this thread and let me give you a hand with your Sense. Before anything else, do you mean that your Sense screen doesn't turn on when moving your arm? If that's correct, I'd suggest to swipe to the right on your watch's screen and double check if the Sleep Mode is turned off and the Screen Wake is turned on. I look forward to your response.
@bobby2478, thanks for your feedback about the Sense and its new firmware update. This version includes some great features and improvements, and our team will continue working on this watch to make that we are delivering what our users want and need. Check this help article for more details about the new OS 5.1 version.
See you around.

I have all settings checked correctly because I always make sure I do first but sometimes mine won't wake either and sometimes I have to tap the screen 3 or 4 times to wake it. Don't know if I should keep the Sense or my Active Watch 2. I like so many of the Active Watch 2 features better and it can do more than the Sense, but costs less. Seems like something here isn't making any sense. Lol

Hi @SunsetRunner. It's nice to see you around.
Thanks for joining this thread and for trying the suggestions posted above. I understand where you're coming from about your Sense functions not working correctly and I'm sorry you're having this experience with your watch. To work on this together, please try turning off the Screen Wake from your Sense's settings, restarting your tracker to refresh its performance and turning back on the Screen Wake settings. Then, put your watch on your wrist and move your arm towards a viewing position to see if the screen turns on.
Keep me posted with the outcome.

It's now the end of Dec. and I have the same issue with waking the Sense screen on my new device. First time owner trying to enjoy the experience, but honestly amazed at how many issues there are. Glad to see it's not just me, but no certain I will keep playing with this thing. Big time drain..

Hi @BInthewoods. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I'm sorry for the experience that you've had with your Sense. Our team continues working on our products based on our members feedback, be sure that yours won't be the exception. In regards to your watch, have you made sure the Sleep Mode isn't turned on? When this function is on, the screen's brightness is set to dim and the screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. If this doesn't apply to you, turn off the Screen Wake function, restart your watch, turn the Screen Wake back on and monitor its behavior.
I look forward to your reply.

Hi,
I got my new Fitbit sense today and I have the same issue as Chris..Doesn't matter if it is in Automatic or manual, my screen doesn't wake up easily with movement in automatic or with tapping in manual, only with pressing the button, which is very annoying as it is a brand new watch.

Hi @Ale111. Welcome on board. @Guy_ Thanks for your great help and suggestions.
@Ale111 Thanks for your efforts while working on this matter. While you've checked the Screen Wake settings, I'd also recommend to check the DND and Sleep Mode settings as @Guy_ suggested to make sure they're off. If after taking that into consideration, your watch is still not turning on when moving your arm, please restart your Sense to refresh its performance and monitor its behavior in the next days.
Hope this helps.

This doesn’t always work! If after you finally FIND your “screen wake” button by ‘swiping right’ from clock face and setting wake to “automatic” (not “manual”) and it still doesn’t illuminate with the flick of the wrist (even after turning off & on), you will need to place Sense on it’s charger for at least a few seconds.
(That was the only thing that restored the ‘screen wake’ for me. This is a finicky watch.)

Welcome to the Community, @PhillipO.
Thanks for sharing the steps that worked for you. While it's odd you had to charge your watch in order to get the Screen Wake working well, I'm glad you sorted this out and I appreciate your feedback. Please don't hesitate to let me know if this happens again, as that will help me to investigate and help you out.
