Sense - Display not turning on

  • I charged my Sense today when it was at 21%, and put it on at 100%. It was working fine. Within an hour I went to check the time and my Sense was just a black screen. Won't do a thing. I tried holding the side notch in to get the fitbit image to restart it, but it won't do a thing. Tried plugging in to charge again, and still nothing. Am I looking at a completely dead Sense? Or is there something I can do to save it?

Hi @Booboobabybear ! Warm welcome to the forums !
Thank you for your message. I'm sorry to hear your Sense has just a black screen and not responding.
I'll be happy to suggest you some steps.

Please, it's important to verify your Fitbit app is up-to-date. How do I update the Fitbit app?

Try to manually sync your device :
With your Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, press and hold on the screen and pull down until you encounter a progress bar at the top of the screen.
Release your finger and wait for the progress bar to fill.

If other Fitbit trackers or watches are listed, tap the option to remove the device (on Android phones, tap the trash icon).

Restart your device : How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the button is unresponsive, I advise you to try to remove dust or dirt by gently using a toothpick or swab around the pimple. If this does not improve the button's operation, you can try cleaning out the debris using compressed air. Hold the watch at arm's length and spray once to loosen any dirt or dust that may have accumulated around the button.

Change the clock face : How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Hi. I tried cleaning it and recharging and it still does nothing. Can't
restart with the side button as it does nothing. All if my info tracked for
yesterday disappeared too. I can't reinstall the fitbit app until I get a
new phone. This one is a Galaxy 7 Edge. Guess I'm just screwed.

Hi @Booboobabybear ! Welcome back to the Community !
I appreciate your message and your troubleshooting efforts, and I'm sorry to hear the issue still persists.

As for your information loss, it seems like your device isn't syncing with your app.

As for the pimple, if you haven't already done so, I advise you to try to remove any dust or dirt by gently using a toothpick or swab around the pimple. If this does not improve the button's operation, you can try cleaning out the debris using compressed air. Hold the watch at arm's length and spray once to loosen any dirt or dust that may have accumulated around the button.

The Fitbit application requires Android 10 or higher to download Android Fitbit app 4.36 is now available - 02/12/2025 or iOS 15 or higher iOS app version 4.36 is now available - 02/12/2025.

You could maybe try with another phone or tablet that meets these requirements to check if your watch comes back.
