Update 6/14/2021:
This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update for Sense will be available soon! Some of you may already have this update available - if you installed it, let us know what you think!
If you don’t see the update yet, that’s expected. Check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We expect everyone to receive the update in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
Did you know that we gradually release our updates? We do this to make sure everything is working just right for you. Sometimes we find an issue and it might take a little longer than expected for everyone to get the update. While you might see suggestions on how to “force” an update, we ask that you don’t try any of these workarounds. Most of the time the update won’t be available and you can lose data or encounter other difficulties. The best way to get the update is to be patient and wait for the update banner to appear in the Fitbit app.

To answer your questions - I am using a Galaxy Note 10+. I have gone through the entire troubleshooting process. I get alerts to move, and anything Fitbit related, but no text or call notifications.
These are permitted in the app itself.

I think I may have gotten notifications back - it required starting totally fresh on everything, including uninstalling the app, to get it to work.
Frustrating, but at least it works now.

Ever since I got my Fitbit sense, I never could connect to messages other than WhatsApp and I lost that along the way. I've tried re-booting and reconnecting but nothing happened. I noticed that the sense controls always disconnects with my iPhone. Now that I joined this community, I hope I can resolve this when I get my replacement unit.

I just posted a separate note, but posting here in case this is an update problem.
I just charged my Sense. Now, swiping up no longer shows Today's stats, it just shows a blank screen. Worse, when I press the side button and hold it, it doesn't restart the watch, it brings up the Find my Phone app. I can no longer restart the watch.

Since the last system update (128.5.38) Sense does not sync with my iPhone at least once a day. It keeps looking... and looking...and looking...until I restart the watch. This is the new pain-in-the-you-know-what. They just cannot seem to get it together.

@LizzyFitbit I’m scheduled to receive my replacement unit by end of the week or early next week. I’m assuming that when I turn it on it will require/request to be updated. Given all the complaints at the moment do you recommend that I don’t update the software or withhold using my Fitbit sense till you guys sort out the problems in finality?

Glad to help where I can 😀
Don't get me wrong but the floor counting issue has been going on for 6 months now and it still hasn't been fixed in the latest update doesn't give me any confidence of the developers to fix bugs in a $300 device in a timely manner.
Personally, I'm looking forward to Samsung to incorporate Fitbit in their next watch which is supposed to be announce in August. I've lost confidence in Fitbit devices and their support.

I'm currently recovering from two asthmatic attacks and resting. There is no way I climbed 56 stairs today. I would have triggered another asthma attack.
You would think that this particular bug was fixed given the hefty thread on it. And not to mention the bug riddled Health Metric.
This and the fact I live in a region where Fitbit is unable to get regulatory approval for the ECG functionality while other brands have managed to do so even during a pandemic begs the question on how committed Fitbit are to getting anything rectified.
At the rate this is going, the Fitbit Sense is going to be my last Fitbit especially if the Samsung watch with Fitbit integration is everything it purports to be.

Well, great news - notifications seem to be dropping in and out now. They will work for a while, and then stop until I reboot everything.
Of course, until whatever issue you have going on this morning.
I have to say - I am kind of shocked this update hasn't been rolled back yet. There is clearly something wrong with it. I understand things take time, but this issue has been ongoing for over a week. I am very much at "time to start looking elsewhere," which really irritates me, because this device is fairly new.

Well, there are a number of quirks with this update on my Sense. The move minutes circle "Hourly Activity" is already filled in before any walking is ever done, so at this point, there's no way to tell if you've missed an hour using the watch. The new quick switch for clock faces is blank for other faces, just names. The only face that has an image in the quick select menu with the hold and press is the face being currently used.
Step count seems to only work if I'm flailing my arms or have my arm with the watch raised above my head. Yet if I walk up a molehill outside, I register 50 flights. Is any beta testing done?
