Update 6/14/2021:

This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in this article, and then provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist.

We’re excited to announce that a firmware update for Sense will be available soon!  Some of you may already have this update available - if you installed it, let us know what you think!

If you don’t see the update yet, that’s expected. Check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We expect everyone to receive the update in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

Did you know that we gradually release our updates? We do this to make sure everything is working just right for you. Sometimes we find an issue and it might take a little longer than expected for everyone to get the update. While you might see suggestions on how to “force” an update, we ask that you don’t try any of these workarounds. Most of the time the update won’t be available and you can lose data or encounter other difficulties. The best way to get the update is to be patient and wait for the update banner to appear in the Fitbit app.

@Clif   it's not a bug.

Just in case try swiping left to right on the watch to get to quick settings and check you haven't accidentally enabled sleep or do not disturb.

I just checked.  Neither sleep or do not disturb are turned on.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your continued participation in this thread. @Guy_ Thanks for your big help!

@LostScientist42 Thanks for getting back and sharing your feedback about the Sense. In regards to the floors inaccuracy, this issue has been reported to our team and they're working on this matter. While there isn't a time frame for the fix, be sure your comments will be passed along so they can be informed of the impact to you and other members.

About the battery draining, have you tried the tips described in this help article? As with any other electronic device, the battery life of your Sense will depend on how frequent certain features are used such as tracking GPS or SpO2 data, using Spotify or activating Always-On Display. If you've not done so, give a try to the tips mentioned above, fully charge your watch with the charging cable that came in the box and monitor its behavior in the next days.

As you may know, the ECG App is available in certain countries that are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to our medical products. I understand how much you'd like to take advantage of your Sense and our team is working hard to bring this app to Fitbit users across the world. For future updates about the availability of this feature, check the Fitbit ECG App site.

In regards to your other question, because yours and @Clif's posts didn't mention, I'd recommend checking this help article which describes the requirements to receive notifications, as well as some troubleshooting tips. Please note that your watch needs to regularly sync with the Fitbit app in order to receive phone, text, apps or any other type of notifications.

Hope this helps.

@LizzyFitbit

I have tried the tips on the help article and have noticed no difference. I have had my Fitbit charged at 100% and then run the SpO2 clockface when I slept and have woken up to battery amount of 56%. Sometimes I find that I have also walked up a flight of stairs while sleeping but regardless of the ongoing inaccuracy of the flights of stairs count there is a significant increased battery use by this clockface. Battery use was at around the 25% before this firmware update. The battery of my Fitbit does not last 48 hours with the SpO2 clockface used during the day and I have had to charge my Fitbit from at times 36% or 24% in the evening.

I have reinstalled the Fitbit app as well as having reset the Sense to factory settings with no improvement.

And oh yes, I do know that the ECG feature is only available in a growing list of countries except the one in which I reside, something I discovered AFTER purchase despite it being a heavily advertised feature in my country. The lack of update and information from Fitbit is a reminder of this.

Hey everyone! First off, I wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread. Secondly, since the majority of Sense users have reported successfully updating to Fitbit OS 5.2 (128.5.38), I am closing this thread. If you still have not updated your Sense to the latest firmware version, check out this post for some best practices on how to update your device.

If you are experiencing an issue with your Sense unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the community or find a related topic. You can always get in touch with our Support team via chat or phone if you need further assistance.

Thanks again for all feedback on this release.
