On my morning walk I decided to track my workout with the GPS on the watch instead of the GPS on my phone. I took the same route as yesterdays walk, but today's walk was logged in as a shorter distance. Obviously the time was tracked but I think I also lost some steps.. Maybe this can be improved with an update? I will continue to track my workout with my phone's GPS.

Hi @TurkeySan. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for sharing that your Sense tracked your distance inaccurately. I understand how important this data is for you and let me give you a hand with this. Before anything else, may I know if the GPS was turned on for the exercise selected? Did your watch find a GPS signal before starting your exercise? Also, did your watch lose GPS connection during your exercise?
There are some environmental factors that may affect the GPS connection causing discrepancy with the data. This includes tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and thick cloud cover. If you're indoors or underground, the GPS might be blocked. If this doesn't apply to you, let me suggest to restart your Sense , make sure it's charged to at least 80%, turning off and on the GPS for your exercise and track your workout one more time.
I'll look forward to your response.
Best AnswerI’m having the same problem with my brand new sense. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks and every time I walk the park path which is 1.75 miles one time around and 3.5 miles twice around, the Sense mileage is ALWAYS wrong. Today, I walked around twice so should’ve logged 3.5 miles but it only calculated 3.2 miles! This is a huge problem for me!!! Not happy!!
I am having the same issue. The peloton gps app is 1.95 miles and the Fitbit sense gps on the watch that was connected before starting was 1.65. Not even close.
Best Answerthe same happens to me. For comparison, I turned on my smartphone GPS and started a short walk together with Fitbit Sense. In the end, the Smartphone marked 750 meters and Sense 530 meters, the steps were very close with Smartphone marking 1123 and Sense 1140. This difference with GPS increases as the distance is greater, yesterday I ran 3.56 miles and Sense showed 2.18 miles. This occurred for me after the last update to 44.128.6.17
Best AnswerSince Tuesday my Sense return to mark accurate distance. The unique difference is that I remove e reinstall fitbit app, I don't know if this action was the reason to fix this problem

Best AnswerSame issue here. I did a 19 mile bike ride and the app shows the route correctly, but shows it as 6.31 miles. I know how long it actually is because it's from work to home and have done it many times.
Best AnswerMy first question, would be which distance is correct?
Have you checked the distance with, say Google map history or Google Pedometer.
