Heart rate in Sense spikes for several minutes nearly every day usually occurs while I'm at my desk in the evening. I see rates as high as 140 bpm. I also see spikes in floors climbed, spikes of 35-50 flights of stairs were I normally have 10-15 flights a day.

Hi, @Ozzie12 , welcome, I must admit I've not noticed the phenomena you describe with your HR spiking, How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? may offer a clue as to the cause. I assume you are not addressing something that is stressful at the time.
The "Floors" issue is something that is quite common, this third party article will provide you with the background. So far as the Fitbit ecosystem is concerned "Floors" do no contribute to any of the data streams so counts do not affect overall results.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi @Ozzie12!
I also experience often unexpected spikes of heart rate on my Sense, up to 135-140, sometimes less. I had a similar experience with a Versa 2 I owned before, but Versa 2 was worse than Sense on that.
The links provided by @Gr4ndp4 have very useful infos about this.
From my experience, the HR spikes can happen at any time, but are much more frequent when the band is not tight on your wrist, or after fiddling with the watch with our fingers (e.g. browsing through the Sense's screens and menus), or when I start walking after a period seatted, or when I move a lot my wrist ( like washing hands or some other hand labor). But I think there was quite an improvement from Versa 2 to Sense, because now with Sense the values tend to go back to the right values just a few minutes after we stopped doing what caused the spike in the first place.
I would risk that maybe, when you are at your desk in the evening, maybe you keep touching your Sense on the desk or somewhere else unwillingly, or quickly typing on the computer keyboard. Is that the case?
Concerning the floors, I also have overinflated floor values everyday since last firmware update, about a month ago. Still wating for Fitbit to fix it. But never explored whether the floors had spikes on certain times of the day, just see the values and ignore them.
Hope this helps.
