I purchased my a Fitbit Sense from FitBit.com just before Black Friday weekend during a special sale. I was finally able to get it charged up on Monday and put it on for the first time Tuesday. Today, I went to take it off and not being used to the band it dropped from waist high onto a tiled bathroom floor and cracked the screen in the bottom corner. Feels like driving in a new car and then getting in an accident the same day. It's upsetting that the screen would even do this from such a small drop. My brother has the same watch and its been smashed on a basketball court diving for the ball and banged into walls and its never cracked at all. I feel the integrity of the screen must have been compromised to begin with to crack so easily. To add salt to my would and experience with this new watch FitBit is only offering me a 35% discount on a new one. I find this a bit insulting since I have stuck by this company for such a long time and from what I thought was a better warranty from buying it from FitBit vs. a Best Buy. But it feels no different than I had purchased from another retailer. Has anyone else had a similar experience with FitBit standing behind their product or should I say not standing by their product? Secondly what product have you used to protect the screen? Are there screen protectors for sale on-line I should look for?

Hi @Chuck0429 there are screen protectors out there, but they can invalidate any warranty for a new device. It's hard to say what the impact was for your Sense versus how your brother's Fitbit hits the floor. It's not that Fitbit isn't standing by their product, as the warranty specifically states that accidental damage isn't covered. Sorry this happened to you.

I am sorry too, really liked the platform, but will likely move to Apple or Garmin due to the quality of their product. This was very small small drop compared to my brothers experience with his Fit Bit sense. His fitbit sense was not fazed one bit, which again leads me to believe to my watch being compromised to begin with. I would expect more from a watch that costs so much and from a company such as Fitbit. I had the Fitbit Iconic prior and went thru 3 of them over the course of 4 years and went thru about dozen bands pulling out from the watch it self. They were able to send me a replacement on 2 of the 3. 3rd one was just use and it died. Did not expect the weak support and backing of their product that I experienced today from their warranty department

For future reference, I bought this warranty through amazon mostly bc it covers things like a broken screen from day 1. Sorry to hear about your experience.
