I received my sense today, and followed the quick setup instructions - charge to 100% setup via app etc.
The phone syncs successfully with the app on my phone post setup, but the watch only ever displays the default "download the fit bit app to setup" screen.
During setup, the screen changes to the wifi symbol at the relevant part of setup, and the green tick appears on screen every time the watch syncs and/or after every setup.
I spoke to an online chat agent who asked me to restart the watch, and re-setup via the app both of which i have done a number of times. They also asked me to ensure that the watch face showing on the watch was a fitbit designed one, however when I go to watch faces, on the app, there are no options. When I try to install a Fitbit provided watch face I get a pink square saying that the watch face isn't compatible and that i should make sure both watch and smartphone app are upgraded to the latest version. The phone app is the latest (I'm using a Pixel3), but i cant force update the watch without any connectivity with it.
The assistant then said they would have to raise this to another team so i'm stuck with a useless watch until then.
Anyone have any ideas? 🙂

I uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app on my phone and it immediately forced a firmware update to the watch
