My husband and I took a flight and now both of our watches are tracking over 100 flights of stairs every day even after rebooting. Did the flight sensor break? What can we do to solve this?

There is a known issue with the floor counting.
It seemed to work fine on its initial firmware 44.128.1.42.
Subsequent updates 44.128.4.17 and 44.128.5.38 have caused or not fixed the problem.
As the latter firmware was only recent you may have been on the initial factory version till recently and perhaps coincided with the flights you took which should not normally affect the watch as it detects changes in pressure, not absolute pressure.
Being on the initial firmware release can occur in several situations, such as a failed update during the new watch installation or after a factory reset not installing properly.
One thing to check is if your watch accurately measures going up a few flights of stairs, if so, it is working properly and the other floors counted are merely spurious errors introduced with the firmware updates.

We are on version: 128.5.38
I woke up and have 9 flights. I have been ranging close to 100 even when I have no flights for the day.
Maybe the next update will fix it but it is frustrating to have this glitch when the watch is only 6 months old.
