Sense active minutes during elliptical exercise

I have been noticing that my active minutes when I am on the elliptical doesn't show I worked out but when I am on a treadmill being less active it counts my minutes. Anyone else have this issue?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @foxykeit32.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand your concern and would like to advise that Fitbit devices are designed to track steps and activity level during step-based activities such as walking, running, or hiking. Though your body is in motion while on exercise machines like the elliptical, this activity doesn't require steps.

You can create an activity log for activities where step count isn't the best indicator of activity level. For instructions on how to manually log an activity, see How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?

Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?

Hope this helps!

I understand fitbit tracks steps but it also tracks heart rate and active minutes so I would assume when I am doing other exercises that it would at least track my activity and zone minutes and it doesn't do that.
