It’s worked for 3 nights in a row so far.
none of the sleep tracking stats were working at all.
I had been manually going into the app and clicking sleep and then stopping it in the morning, thinking why would it matter versus auto sleep detection.
however, I’ve stopped doing this and just go to bed, the auto detection seems to be working fine and now all my stats are tracking
Sleep Score
Skin Temp
Breaths while sleeping
Ect.
I’’m still confused while manually sleeping won’t do this but at least it works now!
Fitbit support: if this is how the watch is suppose to work, a pop up on the manual start sleep option or some sort of message would save you an your customers a lot of headaches.

You should always let it automatically detect your sleep. Telling it when you go to sleep won't record any of the extra metrics. This is how it is designed.
Glad you figured it out! 🙂 @jeffosoft

@Heather-S I believe you mean let the tracker automatically detect sleep.

Yes, thanks. Still recovering from my cold. I'll fix my original post.

I have been having a similar issue. I don't manually tell the fitbit I am going to sleep but I do turn on sleep mode. One night it did record any data, last night it recorded data but won't sync to my dashboard.
