Hello all,

The sense is supposed to have 6 day battery life? Is everyone seeing that? Mine seems to be half that, 3 days-ish.

Hi @Mpwang  the more bells and whistles you're using, the more battery power is used faster. Check all your settings, be sure you are using what you want and realize any gps used will gobble up the battery.

Mine is going between 4-5 days.

I'm just getting started and mine only lasted 2 days.

When I first got mine I was around the 5 days but after an update a little while ago, mine has gotten worse.  There was another update that just came up on it again, which I'm in the process of downloading as I type lol.  I'm hoping that brings me back to better battery life as I initially had.

Before the recent update I was getting 7 days of battery life. Now that Fitbit has taken away the option to turn off the all-day sync feature my Sense needs to be charged after 3 days. I’m very unhappy about the change. Fitbit has stated that the all-day sync feature inky minimally affects battery life; however, I didn’t make any changes to my settings other than the all-day sync feature being on without the option to turn it off, so I don’t know how they determined what impact that has on battery life. I really liked not having to charge my Sense more than once a week.

Getting 3 day-ish as well, from all the notifications from emails, texts, whatsapp, GPS when exercising, vibrating when notifications are present on the watch, SPO2 app installed...its still a big improvement from my original versa that lasted a day and a half with less notifications and functions. I was debating an apple watch, the Sense's health functions and battery life won the contest in my situation.

I just discovered the recent update installed the Sp02 monitor which is running in the background which uses quite a bit of battery life. If you want to turn that off, select your Sense in your Fitbit app on your phone, then select Apps. Scroll through to find Sp02. Select that, and you will have the option to remove that from running in the background.

After the update, ECG was moved off of the clock face and has its own app. This is a big drain and if you don't want it, then I suggest removing the ecg app.

Thanks, I did actually double check that and the app wasn't installed for me.

This app will not show up on the tracker, it will only show under the My Apps under the trackers settings.

Me too! Reported this issue about 10 days ago and they replied me today saying no problem on theirs and asked me to close the case. I’m a decent user which turn to sleep mode at 8pm till 9am, never use gps before, never play music in my sportify. Only connected to my phone a few times a day to update the food and drinks and everytime I turn on only lasted less than 10 min and yet the battery only last me for 5 days. 4% and it dies

I am having to charge mine every other day. But I am using some functions everyday though... EDA(sometimes several times a day), ECG(at least once a day), GPS when exercising(at least once a day), I use the exercise app (at least once, but mostly several times a day, I try and get 4 workouts a day) & I get notifications come through.

However, I don't use the weather, music apps, wallet or coach, timer or agenda though, or the alarms, & voice assistance...

I guess if I switched everything off and just had it tell the time, and not use any other function, I may well get 6 days... I knew when I purchased it I wasn't going to get 6 days... but I assumed I wouldn't be charging every other day.

Turn off SPO2 app permissions or uninstall the app and your battery life should be back to normal. You can always reinstall the SPO2 app at night if you wanted. But the SPO2 now tracks all day instead of just at night and that uses extra battery. Turning off the permissions for the SPO2 app would probably be better to try first rather than uninstalling and reinstalling.

A little update. I have turned off the email notifications as they were driving me mad every 5 mins an email comes through... I also dimmed the screen a few days ago.

I have since updated to the new firmware, I feel I have noticed a difference in battery life for the better. I think its been 3 days without needing a charge - still using gps twice a day for exercise, and using the workout app for indoor workouts twice more a day...

my fitbit will likely need a charge this evening as, as of now, im at 37%

Tonight after the charge, ill turn the brightness back to medium - as dim is too dim for me... Ill then see how the battery lasts.

I’m having the same issue. Did we find any solutions to this?

For me, I was able to turn off a second party Sp02 app that was running in the background that was apparently auto installed after a recent update, and my battery has been lasting much longer between charges again.

@ChrisCJ it is not a second party app, it is written by Fitbit. This function was removed off of the clock face at the request of the Fitbit users.

This is why we have been pointing out to those who do not want the SpO2 that they need to remove the SpO2 app.
