Hello all,
The sense is supposed to have 6 day battery life? Is everyone seeing that? Mine seems to be half that, 3 days-ish.

@westsidekilla1 wrote:Turn off SPO2 app permissions or uninstall the app and your battery life should be back to normal. You can always reinstall the SPO2 app at night if you wanted. But the SPO2 now tracks all day instead of just at night and that uses extra battery. Turning off the permissions for the SPO2 app would probably be better to try first rather than uninstalling and reinstalling.
is that true that it is recording spo2 all day? It doesn't even show any of that data if it is. i thought i read that it still works the same as the clock face did before and only record when you're asleep. Makes no sense for it to be doing anything during the day and drain battery if that was the case.

Maybe its just me... But since the recent update, (and ive turned off notifications like emails) my battery seems to be lasting longer 👍

@wizll Unless someone corrects me then yes, the SPO2 app runs all the time now. Not just at night anymore. Lot of things about the Sense that don't make sense if you ask me but that's another post for another time.

Mine is lasting 1 day if that. Should I be turning it off at bed

@aercolani You shouldn't need to turn it off at bedtime. Since the newest update, and switching off email notifications on my sense, I'm noticing a huge difference in battery life.
Perhaps you have a dud, and it may be worth getting in touch with Fitbit for a replacement.

@westsidekilla1 I think if that is the case, it would only lead to more accurate results. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on the other aspects you mention. Being new to any Fitbit, the more info I can learn the better.
Also, if the SP02 was on all the time, wouldn't that lead to more battery drain? As mentioned, since the update, my battery life is much better, and I can't imagine that's just down to me turning off my email notifications...

@westsidekilla1 yes the SpO2 app might run all the time, just like the SpO2 clock did.
Most of the time this app is waiting for the watch to tell the app that the wearer is asleep. This could also be communicated through an interupt. In either case while the wearer is awake the app will use minimum power.
It is while the wearer is asleep when the red and ultraviolet lights are turned on and these lights consume the power.

Yes I am in the same boat since the last update my battery is draining far quicker. It is unacceptable for Fitbit to false advertise!

Hi @Flynners what clock face did you use before the update?
If it wasn't the SpO2 face. See my post above.

I am using the bitmoji one and was before the update. I have removed the SpO2 app completely.

They never last that long, I've been a customer for 7 years. The older versions I charged every 3rd day at most, these newer digital ones need it every other.

Only 3 days for me not the advertised 6. really beginning to wonder if buying of these was a huge mistake. I wasn't going to get another fitbit and the sense is plagued with problems right now. Ugh what an expensive mistake on my part.

Mine was originally lasting 6 days, but now I can’t even get it to go a full day. I haven’t changed anything, it just started doing it a few days ago.
before that, it was lasting 6 days.
I don’t know what to do. I just bought it in January, and it’s really letting me down

reset it and after setting it up again, turn off bluetooth until you want to sync it again..
