My watch was just charged last night and it’s dead 24hrs later. What is going on?

Hi, There's a known issue with the app which has been known to cause high battery drain.

To confirm this, sync your watch with the phone then turn off the phone's Bluetooth, shutdown the watch and place it on the charger after 10 seconds to restart it and wait till it's fully charged and then see how it performs.

You can turn on the Bluetooth to sync but that might start the high drain again.

If this doesn't resolve the high drain issue, it might be a different problem and probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I was having the same issue, and someone suggested a factory reset.

The Fitbit support team told me I was going to have to send it back and just wait to get it while they repaired. That wasn't going to work for me.

Thankfully, the factory reset seemed to work. I haven't had to charge my watch for a few days after having to charge it every 24 hours after the last system update.

My Sense did the thing after 3 days of getting. Mine needed cleaned, on the back where the charging posts are dead skin flakes off and gets inside the pins. I was surprised at the amount of dirt i cleaned from my watch. I took a sharp sewing needle and carefully cleaned around each pin. From mow on everytime i charge I clean the pins.

Hi! How do you factory reset? Thanks

@CA1420- As the battery not lasting is most likely not a watch fault but a Fitbit App fault, check that first.

To confirm, do a sync, turn off the phone's Bluetooth, Shutdown the watch at the bottom of Settings.

Wait 10 seconds and then place on the charger to restart it and fully charge it.

If the battery lasts normally you will avoid the factory reset and complete re-installation for nothing.
