I have had issues with the Sense since we got it, latest is the battery drains FAST (within 2-3 days) and is not the 6 days Fitbit states.....Now, we cant even charge the unit, support says its the cable and is sending a new one but I cant image a new cable will help.....the charging method of these 4 little prongs fitting in these 4 little holes that are continually on your wrist is somewhat laughable as that would be the first area that would clog or get filled with dirt, thus not allowing these prongs to make proper contact, thus not charge! I have tried the recommended cleaning methods but no luck.....Any suggestions from anyone as next step would be return the Sense unit!

Hi, @tweetys cleaning the contacts with a little rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth (assuming that is what you tried) was an excellent first step. If Fitbit is sending you a new cable I am sure that it is worth giving that a try before giving up.
It might also help with the rapid battery drain to reboot the device completely, as that will shut down all background activities.
Finally, I have noted that my Sense is a little more tempermental about charging. It won't work at all in certain plugs that seem to charge other devices, so it may be worth trying a different outlet and making sure that the plug you use is CE/UL certified. The original plug that came with your mobile phone (assuming it accepts a USB connection) is ideal; some replacement plugs do not work well, and if not UL/CE certified could damage your Fitbit.
I hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

I have had the SENSE since it came out and now an seeing what looks like corrosion around the back of the watch perimeter.....It also looks like there is some "Chipping" away of the metal material. The watch does not hold a charge past 3 days, Fitbit states its the cable and I am waiting for it but I really dont think this watch is made of QUALITY material they speak about and tout on the website? Interested to see how many more people are experiencing just this? I will probably be returning this unit and IF it happens again be getting OUT OF FITBIT all together.

I hope your replacement is better. I have also had my Sense since its release, but I'm not seeing any corrosion on mine nor battery longevity issues. I've only missed a few nights not wearing it, and I do take my watch off before washing dishes or taking a shower. Perhaps your workouts are more sweat-intensive than mine(30-60 minute rowing sessions).

If you can get your money back do so.. but I doubt you will, unfortunately at best you will get a replacement which you will need to work really hard at facilitating.. Good luck and lesson for us all, it’s not Apple it’s Fitbit and no coincidence what Fitbit rhymes with Sh#tBit, who would want that on their wrist 🤣

thanks for the insight, YES I tried 6 different outlets in the house.....I will be exchanging this regardless of the new cable working or not as it is the CORROSION I am most concerned about on the backside of the watch.....per the photo I attached you can see that. IF that happens again I will rid myself of the Fitbit products as I have had bad luck .....the last one put two burnt marks on my wrist (Alta HR).
